Conversion of Images into HTML
After getting your hands dirty with all of the technologies mentioned above, you will learn the Conversion of mock sites into HTML documents in your journey of web designing training.
A web designer should be familiar with working with various photo editing software. We mostly work with mock sites and we create them with software like Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, Figma, etc. We prefer to design web pages with graphical software and converts them into HTML document afterwards. So, you will learn to convert –
PSD to HTML
PSD stands for Photoshop Document. It is a standard format Adobe Photoshop document.
Ai to HTML
Ai stands for Adobe Illustrator; it is a file type as well as a software to generate vector graphics.
XD to HTML
Adobe XD is a tool for designing vector-based graphics for web apps and mobile apps
Figma to HTML
Figma is an online vector graphics editor and prototyping tool for designing high-quality graphics.
JPG to HTML
JPG is the most common format of digital images. This format too can be used as a website mock file.
A web designer should be proficient in Content Management Systems too. At Qrolic you will learn two most popular CMS platforms that are –
Shopify
Shopify is an e-commerce platform that helps you to build an online store for your business. It provides a great collection of built-in themes. You can use these templates into your project as it is or with modification. To be able to modify Shopify themes you need to learn this technology.
WordPress
WordPress is an open-source Content Management System. It is written in PHP and paired with MySQL and MariaDB. WordPress is a versatile CMS designed for websites, blogs, e-commerce, portfolio, etc.
Now that you will know web designing tools, technologies and CMS platforms, you will be ready to get started on your journey as a web designer. So now you have to take some points into your consideration before start working on live projects.
Before you start working –
You need to have a strong understanding of the structure and flow of the website. Analysing a mock file will help you to get an idea about how web pages will be designed. You can ask you, seniors, if you have any confusion regarding any elements or layout. This will save you from having any clutter or temporary stoppage at design time.
After successfully designing a website, you will need to test your website. First of all, check your site for cross-browser compatibility. Run your site on every version of every popular browser. If any of the browsers of its version does not support the site, you will have to make changes in it or provide an extra code to at least indicate the user about the problem with that particular browser. Similarly check for responsiveness to all screen size, stretched images, loading speed, proper working of JavaScript, code quality, and compare your design with the mock file.
Pushing work on the GitHub
You will have to upload your work on GitHub after finishing the testing. Upload your work in below structure like –
UI-file
Put all the UI files in this folder
HTML
All HTML files will be in this folder
